Jim heads Arkios's energy and natural resources activities. Jim currently advises a number of emerging companies and is a non-executive director of Murray International plc, Scotland's largest investment trust.

He is an investment banker who has worked for over 30 years in international capital markets in the UK, North America, Europe and Asia. He has extensive experience in the development and initial financing of emerging companies in the energy sector, with his expert knowledge in venture capital and private equity, and in providing investment banking services to emerging markets in Asia and Africa. 

He has previously held senior positions at a number of leading investment banks, including First Chicago (in Chicago, London and Geneva) and CSFB (in London, Singapore and New York), and was a managing director at UBS (London), where he managed the firm’s European equity capital markets business.
